I love working in radio. Especially phone-in shows. Some of my happiest work times were in studio, having conversations with people I would normally never meet in my life. Thanks to my “gift of gab” and a tendency to ham it up, I had some great years feeling the magic of the microphone.
It’s been more than a decade since I had a daily radio gig, but I still try to keep my hand in the medium someway – now doing monthly book reviews with Richard King, a gig we’ve had so long that we’re often thought to be married.
On the other side of the studio, I produce Healthbeat, a show about current issues in health, created by the MUHC, aired by CJAD and hosted by Tracey McKee.
• Healthbeat, weekly health program on Sunday, noon, CJAD, hosted by Tracey McKee.
• Saturday in Montreal, monthly Book Review with Anne Lagacé Dowson on CJAD.
• All in a Weekend, monthly Book Review on Dave Bronstetter’s CBC show.
• Montreal This Morning, monthly Book Review panel on Global TV’s morning show.
• Monthly radio commentator: WMUB, a local affiliate of PBS, Oxford, OH.
• Montreal’s “Traffic Lady”: responsible for traffic segments of morning show for CBC.
• Host: Radio Noon, a current affairs talk show for CBC Radio in Montreal.
• Researcher:
Cross-Country Check-up, CBC Radio, Montreal
Home Run, CBC Radio Montreal
Daybreak, CBC Radio Montreal
• Host: Night Talk, an overnight all-talk phone-in show on CFCF Radio, Montreal.
